Rapidwall

What is Rapidwall?

Rapidwall is a prefabricated, load-bearing wall panel used for a wide range of construction applications such as developing single and multi-story buildings. Rapidwall is produced in a molding process using reinforced fiber-glass and water resistant gypsum plaster along with other waterproofing additives. Rapidwall panels are 12 meters long and 3 meters high and have a cellular form with 124mm in thickness. Because of its load bearing nature rapdiwall panels acts as both the internal and external walls therefore eliminating the requirement for traditional construction materials such as bricks, timber wall frames and plasterboard. The cellular form of Rapidwall panels allows for accommodating plumbing and electrical conduits between the cells of the walls or fill it with insulation for increased thermal efficiency or with concrete for increased load-bearing capacity. The result of using Rapidwall means faster completion of projects at significantly lower costs.

Manufacturing

Rapidwall is manufactured offsite at Sakann Rapidwall Manufacturing facility. Once a rapidwall panel is removed from the table they are dried using the Eco-friendly Air-Drying Method for a certain period. The panels reach their maximum strength after being fully dried. After drying each rapidwall panel originally are 12x3m and are generally resized according to the project requirements and the design of the building. Once the panels are resized they are transported to the project site to be installed.

Structural Integrity

Rapidwalls load bearing panels have great structural integrity as they have been tested and proven to be earthquake, cyclone and fire resistant, termite resistant and water & rot resistant.

Recyclable and Environmentally Friendly

Sakanns Rapidwall panels are designed in an environmentally friendly process to be 100% recyclable. The panels are produced using naturally-occurring gypsum or by removing the by-product of chemical gypsum and turning them into Rapidwall panels. Rapidwall significantly reduces or eliminates the use of natural resources used to traditional buildings such as clay for bricks, water, sands and metal for making concrete. Production of the rapidwall panels require 50% less energy and creates lower CO2 emissions than traditional buildings.
